Meet Selena Coleman, DD.
Grief Psychotherapist
For over 15 years, I’ve worked with individuals and families facing profound loss. My experience in chaplaincy, pastoral care, and grief counseling has allowed me to guide people through some of life’s most difficult moments.
I offer both faith-based and secular approaches, depending on what brings you the most comfort. Whether you’re looking for therapy that incorporates spiritual guidance or a space that is free from religious influence, my goal is to meet you where you are and provide the support that best serves your healing journey.
Step 1: Understanding Your Story
Grief is deeply personal. In our first session, I take the time to listen, to truly understand your loss, your emotions, and what you’re struggling with most.
Step 2: Identifying Your Needs
Together, we explore where you are in your grieving process and what kind of support will help you move forward. Whether it’s processing emotions, developing coping strategies, or simply having a space to be heard, I tailor my approach to fit you.
Step 3: Creating A Personalized Healing Plan
There’s no single “right” way to grieve. Some people need structured guidance, while others need open-ended conversation. We’ll create a plan that works for you, whether that includes traditional grief therapy, creative interventions, or faith-based support if that aligns with your beliefs.
Step 4: Moving Forward At Your Own Pace
Healing doesn’t mean forgetting, it means learning how to carry your love and memories in a way that allows you to live fully again. My goal is to help you find peace, not by erasing grief, but by helping you embrace and integrate it into a life that still holds meaning and joy.
